Look, April's birthstone is diamond. I'm not buying genuine diamonds when I hardly sell anything so I'm using genuine quartz, clear glass and even Herkimer diamonds as substitutes!
What is a Herkimer diamond?
"Herkimer diamonds are double-terminated quartz crystals discovered within exposed outcrops of dolomite in and around Herkimer County, New York, and the Mohawk River Valley in the US. They are not diamonds; the "diamond" in their name is due to both their clarity and well formed faces." ~ Wikipedia
Single small quarter inch long Herkimer is placed on stainless steel chain with stainless steel jumprings and a lobster claw clasp. Each Herkimer is unique and therefore your necklace is one of a kind. These are 15 inches long because they are intended to sit in the hollow of your neck.
